Since 1945, Bevolo Gas & Electric Lights has been manufacturing the highest quality traditional, antique, and custom designed hand-made lighting fixtures. Today, we are the largest manufacturer of hand-made, open-flame copper lanterns in the world. We are family-owned company, constantly growing and looking for key people to grow with us. Bevolo Gas & Electric Lights, currently has an opening for a full-time team member in our Accounting department at our Corporate Headquarters in Covington, LA.

Minimum Experience and Skills:
•5+ years experience in general bookkeeping/accounting with a focus on processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
•Understanding of Quickbooks on-line (correcting invoices, journal entries, etc.), 3+ years required
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to work independently on assigned duties with ability to prioritize tasks
•Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
•Maintain confidentiality of all financial data

Beneficial Experience:
•Knowledge of Bill.com
•Creating/receiving purchase orders and Inventory experience, Sales Force/Fishbowl experience is a plus
•Familiarity with Avalara Tax Compliance software
•Experience in manufacturing industry is a plus

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
•Review vendor accounts and invoices for accuracy in compliance with office policies and procedures.
•Compute, post, and record accounts payables into Bill.com/Quickbooks.
•Assist in month-end reconciliation.
•Provide back-up support for Staff Account and other team members as needed.
•Other miscellaneous accounting and administrative duties will be added as position grows.
