Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Specialist receives, processes, and pays invoices from vendors. This position is present at the office location during key business hours.

The hourly range for this position is $19 / hour - Commensurate, dependent on experience, education, and skills. We also offer semi-annual profit-sharing bonuses based on company profits to share in the mutual success! In the past, these have ranged between 3.5% - 11.5% of annual salary.

Who You Are:

• 2+ years of office experience
• 2 years of accounts payable experience
• Bachelor's degree is sufficient in lieu of experience
• Basic understanding of accounting periods and deadlines
• Knowledge of construction accounting (retention)
• Knowledge of purchasing
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, verbally and in writing
• Understanding of standard payment terms
• Mathematical aptitude

Who You Are:

• Receives and processes vendor invoices.
• Communicates with vendors and company personnel regarding vendor invoices.
• Assists in the preparation of weekly vendor payment runs.
• Assists with matching purchase orders
• Understands and can explain the invoice approval process
• Imports data from extraneous software into enterprise software.
• Handles miscellaneous emails and telephone calls.
• Assist in the review, posting, and payment of employee expenses including reviewing supporting documentation and proper coding
