Description:
The Parts Clerk manages the flow of materials and parts within or between departments. The Parts Clerk creates, and processes purchase orders and assigns purchase order numbers for parts or materials to be ordered.
Responsibilities:
Processes parts requests made by maintenance personnel.
Processes purchase orders. Forwards completed invoices to the purchasing department.
Updates budget spreadsheet to reflect incoming and outgoing purchase orders.
Communicate with vendors via telephone, email, fax, or in person.
Reviews and maintains inventory records to determine the availability of parts.
Other directives as given by the Maintenance Manager.
Requirements
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Proficient in MS Office applications
Minimum 1-year experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
Understanding of electrical and mechanical parts
