Project Manager (Construction/ Flooring / General Contracting)

The Role

Do you possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in project management, preferably within construction, flooring or general contracting industries? Are you a natural leader, with excellent organizational skills? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

We are a flooring solutions company for the Commercial and Multi-Family construction industries, seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our growing team.

You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of a project, from pre-installation to closeout. This includes managing budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Installation:

  • Conduct detailed handover meetings with the installation team.
  • Manage project schedules, ensuring alignment with expectations.
  • Oversee pre-installation meetings with General Contractors (GCs).

Installation Phase:
  • Work closely with the Procurement Team to stay updated on material deliveries.
  • Conduct quality control inspections and record jobsite conditions.
  • Track project progress and maintain accurate records for billing purposes.
  • Manage change orders efficiently.

Closeout Phase:
  • Finalise punch lists with GCs to ensure all project requirements are met.
  • Manage attic stock according to company procedures.
  • Complete all closeout documents and ensure project review is conducted.
  • Oversee the release of retained funds.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Conduct moisture testing (calcium chloride and pH testing).
  • Coordinate material deliveries when necessary.
  • Manage claims related to material and labour deficiencies.

The Person
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in project management within construction, flooring or general contracting industries.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • The ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., Procore).
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel moderately.
