Job Description

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This position manages the store during the Store Manager's absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager leads the store team in servicing customers.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
  2. Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, ensuring team members execute customer service programs.
  3. Assist in staffing the retail sales counter during peak hours.
  4. Help set team member goals, provide feedback, coaching, and ensure ongoing training.
  5. Participate in hiring processes, including interviews and candidate evaluation.
  6. Answer phones according to company policy.
  7. Ensure timely processing of online orders, store transfers, and customer notifications.
  8. Manage special orders, outside purchases, and returns efficiently and friendly.
  9. Ensure all merchandise and warranties are invoiced before leaving the store.
  10. Communicate Zipline messages, delegate merchandising tasks.
  11. Ensure team compliance with company policies and work schedules.
  12. Perform store opening/closing duties, including security and deposit procedures.
  13. Maintain store building, parking lot, signage, hardware, equipment, and delivery vehicles.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education, and Experience

Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, RSS Certification

Desired: Certified Parts Professional, ASE Certification, Multilingual fluency (Spanish highly desired)
