Position Summary:

The HR and Talent Acquisition Specialist is a critical support member of the Human Resources team, providing day-to-day recruiting and HR support to ELOS Environmental, an Aventia Company (ELOS). This will include: talent acquisition, applicant tracking and HRIS administration, onboarding/offboarding, compliance, HR reporting, and more. The HR and Talent Acquisition Specialist role will be hands-on and involved in ensuring a positive candidate and onboarding experience for new hires. They will become a super user in our HRIS Paycom, specifically with applicant tracking, onboarding, and employee data management. Talent acquisition and onboarding will make up approximately 50%-70% of the role, including job postings and ATS administration, phone screens, scheduling interviews, and onboarding.

This role will report to the Director of Human Resources and with have a dotted line to the ELOS Chief Operating Officer.

Position Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition

o Lead all recruiting efforts for ELOS

o Maintain applicant tracking system, including posting and maintaining open job requisitions

o Drive applicant and candidate engagement through social media postings and increasing our employment brand awareness within our industry

o Meet with hiring managers to conduct intake meetings, provide interview training, and to gather feedback throughout the recruitment process

o Provide recommendations to managers regarding complex and challenging searches

o Partner with Director of Human Resources to set and execute talent acquisition strategy in support of organizational goals and to identify and hire top talent

o Conduct initial phone screens

o Communicate with candidates and ensure a timely and positive candidate experience

o Schedule virtual and in person interviews

o Maintain job descriptions for all positions, working with hiring managers to update existing or create new job descriptions, as needed

o Manage offer process including obtaining internal approvals, drafting offer letters, and extending offers to candidates

o Streamline job board utilization, including LinkedIn and Indeed; Research and recommend cost-effective recruitment strategies

o Provide weekly recruiting reports to ELOS and Aventia leadership

Talent Acquisition / Employment Brand

o Administer online reputation management (Glassdoor, Indeed, etc.) by responding to employee and candidate reviews with oversight of the Director of Human Resources

o Utilize online platforms to increase employment brand visibility (i.e., LinkedIn posts, company and career pages, etc.)

o Attend career fairs, university hiring events, and increase university relations to strengthen talent pipeline

Onboarding

o Administer all onboarding activities including: initiating onboarding process, I-9 and E-Verify administration and compliance, tax surveys, and new hire paperwork

o Manage new hire workflow and responsibilities within Paycom; Identify opportunities to streamline the onboarding process

o Process pre-employment background screening and drug testing; administer random drug testing program, as applicable

o Conduct new hire orientation

o Partner with hiring managers to schedule and plan the new hire's onboarding and training schedule to ensure the team is prepared for the new hire's first day and week

o Audit the new hire process for accuracy, completion, and compliance

o Support introduction of streamlined onboarding programs, including but not limited to a buddy program, 90-day onboarding, Employee Value Proposition (EVP), etc.

General People & Culture Support

o Serve as a champion of our company culture including supporting a people-first culture throughout all interactions

o Maintain HR records and employee files while keeping files organized and maintaining strict confidentiality

o Collaborate with HR team regarding employee inquiries, unemployment claims, and supporting employee relations matters

o Process verifications of employment

o Utilize HR data and compile reports from the HRIS (Paycom)

o Assist Director of Human Resources with HR projects; Additional responsibilities, as assigned

Experience/Education Requirements:

· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is strongly preferred

· Minimum of 2-4 years of human resources/recruiting experience; or 6+ years of human resources/recruiting and professional experience without a degree

· Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Excel and PowerPoint, or equivalent

· Intermediate HRIS/ATS and reporting experience, ideally Paycom

· HR certification, preferred

· Up-to-date knowledge of employment practices, federal and multi-state employment laws
