Job Details

Provides continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients via the telemonitoring system. First line of action is to verbally redirect the patient from engaging in at risk behaviors. Summons the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance. Knowledgeable and supportive of patient and institutional confidentiality and related hospital policies. Minimum Qualifications:High school graduate or equivalent with general knowledge of the hospital setting and medical terminology. Previous clinical and direct patient care experience preferred. Current nursing assistant certification validated through the State of Louisiana Board of Examiners preferred. Current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross.
