So, what will you bedoing?    

In this role, you willbe responsible forcollecting incoming fiber samples, measuring the moisture content and ensuringthe data is uploaded into the system. Work in this position requires theability to multi-task and fill in where required. Knowledge of administrativeand clerical procedures and systems required not limited to Microsoft Word andMicrosoft Excel.

About theRole:
Some of your day-to-dayduties include:

  • Monitor product quality, condition, and specifications to ensure incoming material is acceptable.
  • Document issues and communicate with operations and procurement personnel, as needed
  • Assist with process improvement projects designed to eliminate waste, improve product quality, and increase plan production efficiency
  • Establish and maintain a well-organized area for collecting and analyzing fiber samples.
  • Proactively cross train in plant activities/projects
  • Take ownership of personaldevelopment
  • Adhere to agreed policies and practices to maintain an effective workplace capable of meeting its objectives
  • Manage relationships internally and externally
  • Share expertise and knowledge

Measures of Success:

  • Instruct the drivers as needed toallow time for sample collection prior to leaving scale
  • Inspect loads and query drivers asrequired
  • Enter load information andcustomer/truck information into computer as needed for the moistureanalyzing program
  • Ensure that loads meet qualityexpectations and reject shipments as necessary
  • Manage the data gathered from the driversand the moisture analyzers
  • Collect fiber samples at determinedinterval and operate moisture analyzing equipment after training isprovided
  • Ability to operate two-way radios
  • Perform housekeeping duties asrequested, responsible for keeping designated area clean and clear ofsafety hazards
  • Provide prompt and courteous serviceto Drax customers
  • Willingness to work flexible hoursincluding unscheduled overtime, weekends and holidays

Who you are?    
Do you have?   

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2-5 years industrial experience
  • Ability to adapt to working within a team orlone working environment, with minimal supervision
  • Must have a professional/positive attitude and workwell with others
