Full-time positions are available with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Shift: Monday through Friday 10:30am-7:30pm

Additional Duties Include Closing Administration For The Center Operations.

Our center is located at Bright Horizons at North Oaks, 15591 Emergency Services Drive, Hammond, LA 70403.

Responsibilities

  • Create hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children
  • Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones
  • Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
  • 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred
  • CDA, Associate, or bachelor's degree in early education or related field is required per State of Louisiana standards for Lead Teacher
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children
  • Candidates must pass required state and company background checks

Physical Requirements

This position requires compliance with all applicable immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training. You will work in person in a preschool/child care center to provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and services per Bright Horizons' policies and procedures, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is between $13.70-$18.45 per hour. Actual offers depend on factors including experience, education, certifications, geography, and other factors.

This position is eligible for a $500 hiring incentive.
