Position Description

US FUSION & Specialty Construction

General Description

Work under Sr. Technicians and upper management to perform required work tasks in relation to rubber lining installation. Performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, moving materials, sandblasting, cleaning, coatings application, and preparation/installation of rubber lining. Assists with manual labor tasks as needed. May require a high school diploma or equivalent with 0-2 years of experience. Works under immediate supervision, following instructions and pre-established guidelines. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Essential Functions

• Learn and become proficient in the use of all necessary tools.
• Operate all sandblasting/rubber lining equipment.
• Loading/unloading, lifting, and moving materials on site.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices on the jobsite and in the shop.
• Adhere to all safety standards.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• Cross-train with other departments as needed.
• Participate in other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Position Requirements

Minimum Experience, Education, and Licensure:

• High School Diploma.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Valid TWIC and OSHA card.
• Ability to access customer jobsites.

Preferred Technical Skills and Abilities

• Proficient in substrate preparation, coatings application, rubber preparation, and rubber installation.
• Experience with sandblasting equipment.
• Basic knowledge of ASME/ASTM standards related to substrate and rubber installation.
• Knowledge of coating properties and application methods.
• Understanding of equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Basic skills in using skive machines and installing rubber lining.
• Ability to ensure quality and take accurate measurements.
• Understanding of curing methods for unvulcanized rubber.

• Ability to follow directions and evaluate safety, quality, and performance.

• Manage permits and jobsite documentation.
