The SAP Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of SAP implementation projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery of IT systems and infrastructure solutions.
This role requires strong project management experience, expertise in SAP methodologies, and the ability to drive collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Partner closely with internal customers and technology personnel to define project objectives, scope, budget, resource needs, and success criteria.
Build relationships and collaborate cross-functionally to lead project delivery teams toward successful outcomes.
Utilize Customer and Project Management Methodology to manage the development, customization, configuration, testing, and implementation of IT networks, infrastructure, and systems.
Manage project deliverables and milestones within approved timelines and budgets.
Coordinate day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of assigned projects.
Adhere to IT governance processes and provide monthly project status and financial updates.
Identify project issues and facilitate resolution through appropriate channels and sub-teams.
Conduct risk management, scenario planning, and develop contingency or risk mitigation plans.
Ensure alignment with team contracts, functional plans, and organizational goals.
Document key decisions, action items, and meeting outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
10+ years of SAP Project Management experience managing implementation projects.
Strong knowledge of SAP RISE methodology.
Experience with SAP Cloud projects/implementations (S/4 HANA Public/Private Cloud) preferred.
Knowledge of SAP Activate Methodology and Cloud ALM required.
Experience with Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
Strong documentation skills and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
Proven ability to influence and lead high-performing, geographically dispersed teams.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities for complex process and technology challenges.
Strong stakeholder management and expectation-setting skills.
Effective use of influencing styles to align multiple stakeholder groups.
Experience with Organizational Change Management (OCM) techniques and methodologies as part of project delivery.
