PALA Interstate, LLC

General Description:

Roll Plate for Shop & Field Jobs. Ensure the programs are loaded into the machine by setting the required parameters for each job. Fits & tacks when needed, Layout nozzle holes & bolt holes in Plate. Operates hand cutting torch & track torch. Some plate grinding. Load & unload Plate. Help in various shop tasks.

Essential Functions:

1. Follows specific work orders as given by Shop Foreman.
2. Ensure correct measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation
3. Plans work in logical sequence and determines tolls/equipment needed to perform in safe and productive manor.
4. Bolts, clamps and tack weld parts to secure for welding, such as braces and strong backs.
5. Cuts, grinds, threads pipe and or Plate according to Job specifications.
6. Cleans tools, equipment, materials and specified work areas as needed.
7. Maintain maintenance and upkeep on plate rolling machine.
8. Crane inspections.

Position Requirements

Qualification Standards:

• Two years experience.
• Undergo baseline audio.
• Pass drug screen.
• Pass employer performance test.

Preferred Education and Experience

• High School or GED preferred but not required.

• Trade School program preferred but not required.
