Job Details

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support middle school students within a full-semester contract role. This position focuses on providing specialized instruction and support in a self-contained classroom setting, ensuring that each student's unique educational needs are met effectively.

• Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students with special education needs.
• Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and social development.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to optimize student outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher.
• Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred.
• Proven ability to manage a self-contained classroom effectively.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
