Job Description

The IT Business Partner serves as a strategic liaison between operational leadership and the Information Technology (IT) organization. This role is responsible for gathering requirements, prioritizing and escalating issues, and ensuring clear communication between business stakeholders and IT teams. The IT Business Partner acts as the primary "go-to" resource for their assigned area-supporting leaders, clinicians, and staff by translating operational needs into effective technology and process solutions.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between assigned business units and IT
  • Elicit, document, and translate business and operational requirements into IT deliverables
  • Prioritize, track, and escalate issues, requests, and initiatives
  • Coordinate with IT teams to ensure timely delivery and resolution
  • Communicate project status, outages, risks, and resolutions to stakeholders
  • Support adoption of IT systems, enhancements, and workflow changes
  • Participate in IT planning, governance, and prioritization forums
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with leadership and end users
  • Produce weekly status reports on open issues, priorities, and escalations
  • Produce monthly performance and trend reports for leadership
  • Maintain documentation of requirements, decisions, and outcomes
  • Stakeholder engagement and relationship management

Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
Experience:
  • 5-10 years of experience in IT, business analysis, or healthcare operations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executives, physicians, clinicians, and technical teams
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Healthcare IT experience (clinical systems, EHRs, infrastructure, or applications)
  • Prior experience supporting clinical, operational, or administrative environments
  • Experience producing executive-level summaries and reports

The Health Care District of Palm Beach County is an independent special taxing district that has served as a healthcare safety net for more than 36 years to fill in gaps in access to healthcare services.
