Lumber Manufacturing Facility Manager

Description:

Weyerhaeuser is excited to announce an opportunity for a Mill Manager to oversee our lumber manufacturing facility. This is a full-time, salaried exempt position reporting to the Director of Gulf South Lumber Manufacturing. The Magnolia Mill Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring thesafe and reliable production and timely delivery of our products to customers, while meeting our business objectives.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Coaching and guiding associates in the manufacturing process.

  • Taking full responsibility for site reliability, financial performance, procurement, productivity, environmental stewardship, and other operational duties.

  • Executing excellence in business and individual goal-setting processes, including capital plans, expense budgets, safety strategies, and performance management plans.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment with proven success in safety, quality, productivity, cost management, and people development.

  • Exceptional teamwork and interpersonal skills that effectively motivate teams to achieve business goals and facilitate successful networking within the organization.

  • Solid business and financial acumen.

  • Demonstrated ability to enhance performance by building positive relationships with associates and leaders through coaching and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • A proven track record in engaging teams in behavior-based safety methods.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills.

  • Flexibility to work varying hours as required in a mill setting.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, forestry, or a related field.

  • Experience in the wood products manufacturing sector, particularly in lumber.

  • Familiarity with Lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices.

What We Offer:

Compensation: The role is eligible for an annual merit-increase program, with targeted annual salary ranging from $159,926-$240,031, based on qualifications and experience. You will also be included in our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 25% of base pay, with potential plan funding ranging from zero to two times that target. The Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP) includes stock options.

Paid Time Off and Vacation: Eligible employees working 25 hours or more per week receive 3 weeks of paid vacation in the first year. After 6 months of employment, employees begin accruing vacation. We also provide 11 paid holidays annually, totaling 88 holiday hours, along with paid parental leave for full-time employees.
