Evans Equipment & Environmental is a sales, service and rental company established in 1987. Our specialty is industrial water treatment systems. As our name implies, we are proponents for the environment, focusing on wastewater recycling equipment that captures, filters and recycles wash water from pressure washers or steam cleaners. We are a full-service company that designs, constructs, provides equipment, services equipment, and provides ongoing supplies for our systems.


Job Summary

The Fabrication Manager is responsible for overseeing all fabrication operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role manages fabrication personnel, coordinates production schedules, enforces safety and quality procedures, and collaborates with operations, service, purchasing, and project management teams to support efficient manufacturing and delivery of fabricated components and equipment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and supervise daily fabrication shop operations
  • Manage fabrication schedules to meet production and project deadlines
  • Lead, train, and evaluate welders, fabricators, and shop personnel
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards
  • Monitor quality control to ensure fabricated products meet drawings, specifications, and codes
  • Coordinate with engineering and project management on drawings, revisions, and technical requirements
  • Oversee material usage, inventory, and coordination with purchasing
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain shop equipment and coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Enforce welding procedures, certifications, and fabrication standards
  • Participate in hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or trade certification preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing, with supervisory or management experience
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, metal fabrication, and shop equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Familiarity with quality standards, safety regulations, and fabrication best practices
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in heavy equipment, industrial fabrication, or environmental systems manufacturing
  • Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent)
  • Experience with production planning or ERP systems
