Description
We're looking for a Mixed-Methods UX researcher who's excited to work at the intersection of AI, healthcare, and human behavior. You'll shape products from zero-to-one and beyond, working closely with design, product, engineering, product analytics and clinical partners to ensure we're solving the right problems for real people. You'll influence strategy, guide product direction, and elevate the quality of user experience through rigorous, human-centered research. This role is ideal for a researcher who thrives in ambiguity, brings strong methodological rigor, and excels at translating complex findings into clear product direction.
You Will Work On
- Generating insights that shape AI-powered experiences helping people understand and act on their medical data
- Partnering with product, clinical, and engineering teams to design dynamic, personalized care pathways grounded in behavioral science
- Building a deep understanding of user needs to inform a patient-centered platform for longitudinal health insights
- Leading end-to-end research to inform personalized care recommendations and health-management experiences
Responsibilities - Design and execute mixed-methods research (qualitative and quantitative), including interviews, usability testing, diary studies, surveys, behavioral analytics, and literature reviews.
- Synthesize and communicate insights through storytelling, frameworks, and visual artifacts to influence product strategy and design decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Analytics, to analyze behavioral data, triangulate with qualitative findings, and advocate for user needs.
- Contribute to UX research excellence by sharing best practices, setting standards, and mentoring team members.
Why This Role
- Work on AI that matters - real people, real health impact
- Shape products at early stages, not just incremental improvements
- Collaborate with world-class designers, engineers, and clinicians
- High ownership, high trust, high impact
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Social Sciences (Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, etc), Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design or related field or, in lieu of a degree, equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of applied UX research experience in product or service design environments
- Able to independently manage multiple workstreams with a bias toward action, knowing when "good enough" beats perfect.
- Strong command of qualitative and quantitative methods and tools (e.g., Dscout, Qualtrics), with the ability to analyze complex datasets, apply basic statistics, and translate insights into product recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- M.A/M.S./Ph.D. in Social Sciences, Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design or related field
- Experience in healthcare research: Consumer healthcare, digital health, or regulated domains, with familiarity in behavior change frameworks and health outcomes research.
