A High School intern position with The Hartford Financial Services Company gives you unprecedented access to learn in a real world, Fortune 200 environment. FUNCTIONAL TEAM

The Cloud Services Platform team designs and implements foundational products to ensure that cloud resources are created and configured quickly and follow best practices. Products are deployed via Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using both cloud native and cloud agnostic tools. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployment and automation tools ensures that the resources delivered to our internal customers are ready to use and meet current security standards.

We are looking for an Intern who is up to the challenge of learning and leveraging a variety of tools and processes to help innovate new ways of working. The ideal candidates have a strong engineering mindset and a desire to upskill on various coding and cloud skills. As an ECO Platform intern, you will work directly with a high performing team designing, enhancing, and implementing cloud products.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist Platform engineers on designing new products or enhancing existing ones
• Complete work assignments using the Agile methodology
• Collaborate with teammates to resolve issues
• Develop and present status and communication material using MS PowerPoint

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Technology focused curriculum preferred
• Teacher Recommendations preferred
• Engagement and leadership in school clubs, extracurricular activities, community, or volunteer enrichment events preferred

LOCATION OF INTERNSHIP:

1 Hartford Plaza Hartford, CT or 1120 S. Tryon St. Charlotte, NC

o Virtual / Remote Work & Onsite

WORKING TIME / SCHEDULE

• Monday - Friday, 20 hours. (Position is Part-Time, Temporary)
• Internship starts mid-June and runs through mid-August
• Working hours vary, typically 8:30AM - 5PM

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS / CONSIDERATIONS:

• Reliable Transportation (for on-site work, if required)
• Must satisfy employment eligibility requirements as established by The State of Connecticut or North Carolina and pass required background check.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$17 - $18
