Job Title: CNC Machinist

Location: Covinfton, LA

Hourly Rate: $25-$28

Schedule: Full-Time

Our client in Covington, LA, is currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating both milling and lathe machines. This position offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $23 to $25, depending on experience, and includes benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC milling and lathe machines to produce precision parts according to blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines or processes to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve productivity.
• Follow safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, including materials used and time spent on jobs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in machining preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC milling and lathe machines.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Experience with tooling selection, setup, and tool changeovers.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain tight tolerances.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work full-time hours and occasional overtime as needed.
