Job: Sage X3 Functional consultant (Warehouse and Inventory management modules)
Location: Modesto, CA
Duration: 6+ months

A Sage X3 Functional Consultant implements and configures Sage X3 ERP solutions by analyzing client business requirements, designing functional solutions, configuring relevant modules (Warehouse and Inventory Management), and supporting the end-to-end project lifecycle, including testing, training, and post-implementation support. Key skills include strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities to bridge business needs with technical solutions, and a deep understanding of Sage X3 functionalities.
Key Responsibilities

  • Requirement Gathering & Analysis:
Work with clients to understand business needs and challenges, and then translate these into detailed functional requirements.
  • Solution Design:
Design and recommend efficient, cost-effective solutions using Sage X3 capabilities.
  • Configuration & Implementation:
Configure and implement Sage X3 warehouse and inventory management modules according to client specifications.
  • Documentation:
Prepare comprehensive documents, such as and , to communicate solutions and validate requirements.
  • Testing & Training:
Develop test cases, perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), resolve functional issues, and conduct user training sessions.
  • Support & Optimization:
Provide post-implementation support, troubleshoot problems, and identify opportunities for system optimization.
  • Gap Analysis:
Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between client needs and the standard system functionality, recommending solutions or customizations.
Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Sage X3 Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of Sage X3 modules, particularly Warehouse and Inventory management
  • Business Process Knowledge:
Strong understanding of core business processes and how ERP systems can support them.
  • Technical & Functional Skills:
Ability to blend business knowledge with technical understanding to develop effective solutions.
  • Analytical Skills:
Proficiency in analyzing data, identifying problems, and evaluating solutions.
  • Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to diagnose and resolve system issues, and develop practical solutions.
  • Project Management:
Experience supporting end-to-end ERP implementation projects.
