Contract consulting opportunity for an experienced BSA to work on a Financial Services Conversion program.

Location: Onsite in Minneapolis 4 days/week, 1 day remote
Work Authorization: US citizen or GC holder

What you'll do: This role supports a new program at in the financial services sector focused on enhancing investment and advisory tools and executing a large-scale client conversion. The initiative involves transitioning clients from a current broker system into the company's platform. To support this effort, the organization is seeking experienced consultants to supplement the existing team.

The primary focus of this role is requirements gathering, UAT support, and test execution, with heavy involvement in system conversion activities.

• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver business-critical solutions
• Facilitate discussions to gather, analyze, and document business and user-level requirements
• Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications
• Manage requirements traceability and change control processes
• Support system conversion activities, including data validation and issue tracking
• Coordinate with technology partners to test incoming data files from external broker systems
• Validate data loads into test and production environments
• Prepare for and support live conversion events
• Log, track, and escalate defects and issues to appropriate technology teams
• Participate in UAT planning, execution, and reporting
• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts
• Support implementation checkout and post-production validation
• Develop and maintain procedural documentation, user guides, and operational manuals
• Identify risks, issues, and mitigation strategies and communicate status to project leadership

EXPERIENCE

• Strong ability to listen, analyze, and document business and user-level requirements
• Experience gathering and documenting UAT requirements
• Solid understanding of system conversions, including:
  
  • Working with technology teams and external partners
  • Receiving and validating data files from broker/dealer systems
  • Loading and validating data in test and production systems
  • Supporting live conversion events
  • Issue identification, logging, and resolution coordination
• Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments
• Financial services industry experience

The W2 pay range for this type of role is approximately $70.00 - 80.00 per billable hour. This range is an estimate and not a guarantee of compensation.
