Pace is seeking Owner/Operator/Independent Contractors with 26'-24' box trucks with liftgates, in our Hammond LA market. Join Pace's carrier network and grow your business with consistent, dedicated routes! You must own/lease your own trucks and have active operating authority with the FMCSA.

As a Box Truck Delivery Driver in Pace's Preferred Carrier Network, you will make business to business deliveries to retail stores on a multi-stop route in and around the Hammond market. Most routes are approximately 100-300 miles round trip and operate Monday through Friday. A typical delivery will include loading/unloading palletized freight using a pallet jack, breaking down the pallets, stacking the cartons with labels facing out, and scanning everything in. Having excellent customer service and maintaining a high degree of safety and professionalism is a must as most of the deliveries are taking place with staff present.

Key Responsibilities for Box Truck Drivers:

• Pick up freight and deliver to designated stores.
• Break down palletized freight at point of delivery as needed.
• Operate and own a pallet jack + hand-truck to load/unload freight.
• Use Pace delivery app to track and document all deliveries.
• Maintain required insurance.
• Exceed customer delivery requirements and specifications.
• Represent Pace in a professional and courteous manner.
• Be presentable and provide excellent customer service to customers.

What does it take to drive with Pace?

• Have your own working vehicle.
• Meet insurance requirements. $1,000,000 in CGL, $1,000,000 in Auto, and $100,000 in Cargo
• Must meet MVR, background, and drug screening requirements.
• Must have active operating authority with the FMCSA
• Drivers must be 21 or older.
