We need

  • very senior Director of Securitization who will lead a high-impact development organization within our Capital Markets division, driving the technology strategy and execution for our securitization platform.
  • This role demands deep technical expertise combined with strategic vision to architect next-generation solutions in asset securitization, structured finance, and capital markets infrastructure.
  • You'll oversee the design, development, and deployment of sophisticated systems that enable seamless securitization workflows, from origination through trading and analytics, while leveraging cloud technologies, advanced data architectures, and cutting-edge financial engineering practices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of securitization fundamentals, including asset securitization mechanics, credit enhancement structures.

Job Description:
  • As a Director of Securitization Technology at RBC Capital Markets in NY/NJ/DE, you will lead a high-impact development organization within our Capital Markets division, driving the technology strategy and execution for our securitization platform.
  • This role demands deep technical expertise combined with strategic vision to architect next-generation solutions in asset securitization, structured finance, and capital markets infrastructure.
  • You'll oversee the design, development, and deployment of sophisticated systems that enable seamless securitization workflows, from origination through trading and analytics, while leveraging cloud technologies, advanced data architectures, and cutting-edge financial engineering practices.
What will you do?
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders across trading, structuring, risk, and operations to translate complex securitization requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Lead and mentor a team of senior business analysts, developers and architects in building enterprise-grade securitization platform that handles complex financial instruments, multi-asset class workflows, and real-time market data integration.
  • Shape the functional and technical roadmap for securitization technology, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory requirements, market standards, and client demands.
  • Drive the modernization of legacy securitization systems & processes through cloud migration strategies, GenAI and DevOps practices, enabling faster time-to-market and improved operational resilience.
  • Champion the adoption of emerging technologies such as generative AI and advanced machine learning techniques to enhance securitization workflows and unlock new business opportunities.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to articulate technical strategies to C-level executives and translate business vision for engineering teams.
  • proven track record of building and scaling high-performing technical teams, with demonstrated ability to hire, mentor, and develop talent.
  • Ten-plus years of designing, architecting, and delivering complex application systems in the financial services industry, with significant experience in capital markets technology, particularly in securitization or structured finance domains.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of securitization fundamentals, including asset securitization mechanics, credit enhancement structures
Technical proficiency & prior hands-on experience in:
  • C# .NET Core, including advanced object-oriented programming principles, async/await patterns, and dependency injection frameworks
  • building high-performance microservices and distributed systems using .NET Core with deep understanding of scalability and performance optimization.
  • SQL Server, SSIS technology
  • ASP.NET Core for building scalable web applications
  • DevOps practices, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code in capital markets environments.
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and demonstrated success delivering mission-critical systems under pressure with tight deadlines and regulatory constraints.
