Position Summary

A dynamic community bank is seeking a Loan Operations Supervisor to lead all facets of the bank's loan operations, including processing, servicing, escrow management, collateral documentation, loan review, and regulatory compliance. This position emphasizes operational efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to regulations while enhancing support for the lending team and delivering outstanding service to both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Oversight
    • Manage, train, and cultivate the Loan Operations team, fostering a culture of precision, efficiency, and compliance.
    • Oversee processes, assign tasks, and set performance metrics.
  • Loan Processing & Servicing
    • Direct the daily operations of loan servicing, including payments, escrow analysis, tax monitoring, and insurance oversight.
    • Guarantee timely and precise loan boarding, payment posting, payoff processing, and escrow disbursement.
    • Identify and resolve loan servicing challenges, emphasizing regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance & Audit
    • Develop procedures that ensure compliance with bank policies and state and federal regulations (FDIC, OCC, Federal Reserve).
    • Act as the primary liaison for internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and loan review activities.
    • Execute corrective actions as necessary to address any findings.
  • Operational Efficiency
    • Suggest and implement process enhancements, automation, and system upgrades to improve accuracy and efficiency.
    • Collaborate with IT and vendors to ensure loan systems function effectively.
  • Collaboration & Reporting
    • Cooperate with lending officers, credit administration, and compliance teams to bolster lending initiatives.
    • Prepare comprehensive operational reports and dashboards for executive management review.
    • Provide training and guidance to lending staff regarding loan operations policies and systems.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
    • 5+ years of experience in loan operations, servicing, or credit administration in a banking context.
    • At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience is required.
  • Knowledge & Skills
    • In-depth knowledge of loan documentation, escrow analysis, collateral management, and servicing requirements.
    • Comprehensive understanding of banking regulations (FDIC, OCC, CFPB, RESPA, HMDA, etc.).
    • Proficient with loan core processing systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

This position is detail-oriented and necessitates strong analytical skills and customer service experience, as interaction with the bank's clientele is essential.
