The Parts Room Clerk is responsible for receiving and tracking MRO supplies within the facility. Ensure the correct material is received in the correct quantity and proper storage locations are recorded. Track and report errors, omissions, and damage of incoming freight. Perform cycle count and report errors of critical spares.

This position reports to the Day Shift, which operates Monday through Thursday from 6:00am - 4:30pm in our Hammond, LA location. There are occasional needs to work additional hours and/or working on a Friday at the Manager's discretion.

What you will do in this role:

  • Support the Maintenance and Operations teams in looking up and ordering parts
  • Receives orders, tools, parts, and checks them into the system via procurement process
  • Stocks parts in proper locations
  • Performs cycle counts, daily inventories and helps maintain parts location integrity
  • Keeps up 5S program as documented for the parts room
  • Other duties as assigned

What you will need to be successful:

  • 1-3 years of experience working at a Parts Counter, storeroom, tool crib, or parts room
  • Previous purchasing and inventory experience a plus
  • Familiarity with mechanical parts and materials a plus
  • Maintenance related experience a plus
  • CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) experience a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task
  • Good handwriting; legible penmanship
  • Good clerical skills (typing and filing)
  • Excellent math skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to walk, bend, stoop, climb and/or sit for long periods of time
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to grasp products.
  • Ability to work at a rapid pace.
  • Climbing and other consistent physical activity required.

Compensation Range

$18.00- $22.00 hourly, consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position. ACR reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
