Client: Fidelity
Title: OIPA Engineer
Location: Fidelity Locations ( preferred, Westlake, TX)...Or Remote candidates on EST timezone who are willingto travel to Fidelity locations when needed.
Duration: 12+ months
Rate: 90-100/hr on W2
- Will consider folks outside of Fid Corp locations but willing to travel as needed. Please note: If hybrid model changes, they would need to adhere to those changes. Candidates will be reviewed at the each of the next 2 weeks and screened if a fit
The team is hiring 2 OIPA Engineers - they can sit anywhere in the US BUT MUST be based in EST timezone. Also, must be open to potentially coming onsite quarterly if required for quarterly meetings. Last, they need to be aware if Fidelity's Hybrid model changes, they will need to adhere to it. We can base them out of any corporate location.
Top Skills: OIPA, Java and Oracle DB experience (simple SQL) Need to only know Java so they can fix issues (maintenance role) Expertise in developing policy administration systems using Oracle Policy Administration System (OIPA), including configuration language, integration, AS Files, data intake, database architecture, and data extraction patterns; building OIPA extensions; and performing palette and application security implementations, screens (policy, roles segment, allocation, and valuation), and release management. OIPA recently moved to the cloud - so any AWS and/or kubernetes is a nice to have

- 4+ years of Expertise in developing policy administration systems using Oracle Policy Administration System (OIPA), including configuration language, integration, AS Files, data intake, database architecture, and data extraction patterns; building OIPA extensions; and performing palette and application security implementations, screens (policy, roles segment, allocation, and valuation), and release management.
- Expertise in implementing design patterns, using UML
- Test Driven Development, Junit, Jasmine, Karma, Protractor
- IDE's Spring Tool Suite, and Eclipse, within a UNIX and Windows environment.
- Writing SQL queries and debugging stored procedures within an Oracle environment.
- Leadership: Team player, self-starter, collaborative, innovative, eager to learn every day.
- Understanding of docker, cloud-computing / cloud services platforms (e.g. AWS or Azure) will be a plus
