Reporting to the Senior Sourcing Manager, this position is responsible for managing the current vendor base for a particular category, as well as looking for alternate vendors both domestically and internationally that will result in significant cost savings, enhanced sales margin, and/or enhanced delivery performance. Responsibilities:Continuously reviews assigned category sales and looks for margin, cost or availability issues. Determines categories or items that present improved sourcing opportunities. Identifies suppliers that can supply new items or improve the supply of existing items. Negotiates cost, freight terms and legal conditions with suppliers. Assists in developing specifications on products to be sourced. Analyzes, evaluates and summarizes suppliers' offers. Assists in determining market price for products. Assists in the implementation of new product introductions. Other duties as assigned.
