This position coordinates closely with the operations team as customers of the reliability centered maintenance support services. The I&E Technician position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and this is an hourly paid position that works day shift on a 40-hour weekly schedule. The facility operates on a 24 hour / 7 days per week basis and it is expected that the I&E Technicians will be on call during off hours and the weekends.Job DetailsRole Specific Responsibilities:Troubleshoot, calibrateand repair of electro-mechanical devices that measure flow, pressure, temperature, and levelsProvidepreventive, scheduled, and emergency I&E maintenance support to the facilityConduct instrumentation evaluations and troubleshootfor electrical, pneumatic, electronic as well as programmable logic control (PLC) systemsEnsure to commission instrumentation effective following with repair and replacementConduct tests related to functional performance on instrumentation as needed by facility changesInvolved in evaluation of instrument performance to identify optimization and enhancement opportunitiesWork closely with plant operations to evaluate both routine and emergencyinstrument workAbility to navigate PLC and DCS Logic to support troubleshooting efforts.Compliance:Complies with company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangementsReports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptlyActs in a safe and responsible manner alwaysProblem Solving and Innovation:Active participation in continuous improvement activitiesParticipates in problem-solvingTakes responsibility and ownership for own learning and development in the spirit of continuous improvement of both self and the businessAssists in the training, mentoring, and assessment of other team membersExercises autonomy and judgement subject to overall direction or guidanceEducation & Qualifications:2-year degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering Technology or related fieldExperience:5-7 years minimum field experience preferredExperience navigating a CMMS requiredPrevious experience operating a forklift preferredExperience wearing required PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel toe shoes, gloves, and a respiratorKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Self-motivated and ability to work within a fast-paced environmentStrong understanding of safety practices, specifically LOTO, hot work and confined space entryExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWillingness to learn and understand various manufacturing processes throughout the plantAbility to climb ladders and stairs (up to 8 stories)Strong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work in a team environment within a multi-functional, organizational structure and exhibits robust interpersonal skillsAbility to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive, physical work such as lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to 25 poundsAbility and willingness to work a non-standard shiftduring outages.
