Key Responsibilities* Prepare and cook grill items such as burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, chicken, pizza, and specialty menu items.* Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies before service.* Ensure food is prepared quickly, safely, and consistently according to resort standards.* Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grills, fryers, prep areas, and kitchen equipment.* Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.* Assist with food prep, inventory rotation, and restocking supplies.* Monitor food temperatures and proper storage procedures.* Provide friendly and professional interaction with guests.* Assist with special events, cookouts, and seasonal activities hosted by the resort.Qualifications* Previous grill cook, line cook, or kitchen experience preferred.* Knowledge of safe food handling practices.* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.* Strong teamwork and communication skills.* Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.Preferred Skills* Experience in hospitality, campground, or resort settings.* Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy periods.* Positive attitude and strong customer service skills.Working Conditions:* Work in a fast-paced, high-energy kitchen environment. It will require evening, weekend, and/or holiday shifts based on business demands.* Potential exposure to hot surfaces, sharp utensils, and cleaning chemicals.This is a full-time, seasonal position working at Sun Outdoors New Orleans North Shore.
