Job DescriptionJob DescriptionKey Responsibilities* System Installation: Expertly install new heating, cooling, and ventilation units (furnaces, heat pumps, condensers).* Components & Ductwork: Install, modify, and seal sheet metal and flex duct systems, as well as refrigerant lines.* Electrical & Gas Connections: Wire low and line voltage components, connect gas lines, and braze/solder copper lines.* Testing & Inspection: Run system tests to ensure proper airflow, refrigerant charge, and operational performance.* Site Management: Review blueprints, maintain job site cleanliness, and manage materials on-site.* Customer Service: Professional interaction with homeowners to explain system operation and answer questions.Job Requirements & Qualifications* Experience: Usually 2-5 years of HVAC installation experience, with lead positions requiring prior leadership experience.* Certification: EPA certification is essential (required for handling refrigerant).* Skills: Strong knowledge of HVAC design, electrical circuits, and local codes.* Physical Ability: Capable of lifting 75+ lbs and working in confined spaces like attics or crawlspaces.* Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean record.Common Benefits* Competitive hourly pay (often $20-$30+/hr for experienced techs).* Company vehicle and gas card.* Paid time off (vacation/holidays).Company DescriptionAt Southern HVAC, family-owned means we have each other's backs.
