They are integral to residents' progress in treatment, reporting directly to the unit Supervisor on scheduling, training, daily activity schedules, house maintenance, and direct care tasks.ResponsibilitiesProvide compassionate, culturally sensitive services.Ensure all residents are present and on time for all clinical activities, obtaining pre‑approval for absences.Create a culture of care discouraging the use of protective holds and escorts.Assist Therapist in creating a living environment that residents evaluate positively.Implement the agency's Behavioral Management Plan with fidelity.Participate in treatment team meetings and fully communicate service delivery, residents' progress, and program impacts.Implement personalized interventions from each resident's Active Treatment Plan.Maintain structure, cleanliness, and organization of the unit.Implement the agency's milieu model with fidelity.Provide life skill training to residents as part of daily living.Interact positively with residents, families, fellow staff, and stakeholders.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsEmpathy for others and application of the Golden Rule in relationships with residents, families, and staff.Eager learner, willing to try new methods.Fundamental love for children and desire to be an agent for change.Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts or Science in a mental health‑related field; orPossess a Bachelor's degree and pursuing a graduate degree, having completed at least two relevant courses; orHigh‑school credential or GED with two years experience providing direct services in mental health, physical health, social services, education, or correctional setting.Strong sense of personal authority, maturity, and integrity.Effective verbal and written communication in diverse audiences.Skill in conflict resolution and mediation.Strong interpersonal skills with residents and staff.Commitment to confidentiality of records and reports.Strong work ethic and willingness to accept significant responsibilities.Flexibility to function in a demanding position.Employment ProvisionsTime on Duty: To be arranged as required.Salary: As provided for in the Annual Budget.FLSA Exemption: Non‑exempt.Benefits: As stated in Personnel Policies and Procedures.Equal Opportunity Employer.
