Job SummaryThis radiographic technician assesses patients and safely performs routine radiographic procedures in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and protocols. Serves as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students.HoursMonday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pmBenefitsSign‑On Bonus: Up to $20,000 for eligible candidatesReferral Bonus: Up to $5,000 for eligible employeesEducationCompletion of an approved radiologic technology program (required)Work ExperienceNone (required)Radiologic technology experience (preferred)CertificationsRegistered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or eligible for registry within 90 days of employmentCurrent unrestricted state licenseCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart AssociationKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Proficiency in using computers, software, and web‑based applicationsEffective verbal and written communication skills; ability to present information clearly and professionallyStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to work a flexible work schedule (e.g., 24/7, weekend, holiday, on‑call availability) and travel throughout and between facilitiesJob DutiesVerify physician order and procedure to ensure accuracyUse radiology information systems to facilitate careExplain procedure to patient to ensure understandingIndependently operate equipment to complete imaging procedure according to protocol, including placement of nasogastric tubes, IVs, urinary catheters, and administration of contrastReview patient images prior to transmission to ensure images meet diagnostic quality standardsComplete timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards and perform notification/remediation as warrantedAssist in facilitation of departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance, etc.)Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy, method of introduction, adaptation of explanation of services or procedures, requesting permissions and communication stylePerform other related duties as requiredPhysical and Environmental DemandsRequires moderate physical activity, including lifting and moving equipment and supplies. Routine exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue; potential exposure to hazardous medications and waste.
