HHM Talent is assisting a client in the search for a Chief Financial Officer for their multi‑rooftop automotive group based in Hammond, LA.

Position Overview

The Chief Financial Officer will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial operations across a 5‑rooftop automotive group. This role will drive financial strategy, ensure operational efficiency, and build scalable processes to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall financial strategy for the organization across all rooftops
• Partner with ownership and executive leadership to drive profitability and growth
• Provide actionable insights on performance, forecasting, and long‑term planning
• Oversee month‑end close, financial reporting, and consolidation across all locations
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements and compliance with applicable standards
• Manage audits, tax filings, and relationships with external advisors
• Monitor key dealership metrics including PVR, products per deal, and expense control
• Oversee cash flow, working capital, and floor plan management
• Ensure strong internal controls and compliance across all stores
• Lead and develop accounting teams across all rooftops
• Build structure, accountability, and scalable processes within the accounting function
• Mentor Controllers and accounting staff to support long‑term growth
• Evaluate and enhance existing financial systems, reporting, and workflows
• Drive standardization across rooftops to improve efficiency and visibility

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CFO/Corporate Controller experience within automotive dealerships
• Strong understanding of dealership operations, including:
• Financial statements and consolidations
• Floor plan financing and cash flow management
• Dealership KPIs (PVR, PPD, CIT, etc.)
• Proven leadership experience managing multi‑location teams
• Experience with dealership management systems
