Electrical Estimator North Star Electric Salary: $60,000–$80,000 per year (based on experience) North Star Electric is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will analyze project plans and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates for multi-family residential electrical projects. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting critical bid deadlines. Responsibilities Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents. Prepare accurate estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and project costs. Analyze project requirements to determine timelines, staffing needs, and overall project expenses. Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors. Communicate with general contractors, suppliers, and other companies involved in the bidding process. Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and supporting documentation. Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure accurate and competitive bids. Monitor bid schedules and ensure all proposals are submitted on time. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of estimating experience in the electrical, construction, or related industry. Experience estimating multi-family residential projects. Familiarity with estimating software and construction bidding processes.
