*Job Summary*
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Elementary Spanish Teacher to inspire young learners and foster their language skills in a dynamic classroom setting. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to engage children in immersive language instruction while supporting their overall development through innovative teaching methods and personalized mentorship.
*Responsibilities*
* Develop and implement engaging Spanish lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating literacy, math, and cultural lessons to enhance language acquisition.
* Use learning technology tools to create interactive activities that motivate students and reinforce language skills.
* Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies, ensuring a respectful and inclusive environment.
* Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations.
* Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, special education accommodations, and classroom management techniques.
* Support early childhood education principles by tailoring lessons suitable for diverse developmental stages within elementary grades.
* Mentor students individually or in small groups to boost confidence, literacy, and language proficiency.
*Experience*
* Prior classroom experience teaching elementary students, preferably with a focus on Spanish or second-language instruction.
* Demonstrated ability to work with children with diverse needs, including those with autism or requiring early intervention strategies.
* Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and integrating learning technology into daily lessons.
* Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
* Familiarity with standardized testing processes, tutoring methods, and early childhood education practices.
* Private school experience or Montessori background is a plus but not required.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
