Job SummaryThe Inventory Control/Warehouse Clerk will oversee the general organization of the warehouse and contracting shop. This includes the efficient and effective coordination of all incoming shipments at Gainey's. This position will manage the receiving process ensuring that all items are received, stored, and distributed on time.Duties/ResponsibilitiesExecutes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problemsRestock supplies and inventory and special orders as neededEnsures items are stored properly, in the correct locationCommunicates with the Purchasing Department regarding new items, changes of location, counts, and identifies in-stock items from purchase requestsAccepts, verifies, inspects, and records all deliveries according to policyEnsures the purchasing department receives all packing slips dailyPromptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivablesLoads trucks for contracting crewOperates forklift in a safe mannerEngages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitudePulls all in-stock material for a contracted job prior to purchasingMaintain a safe and organized warehouse inventoryMaintain stock inventory countComplete bi-weekly inventory counts in the warehouseComplete monthly inventory counts in the contracting shopComplete weekly inventory of castingsStocks the sea-can for production weeklyBackup Dispatch desk when needed and every afternoon from 2:45pm-5pmPerforms additional related duties as assignedRequired Skills/AbilitiesVerbal and written communication skillsWork independently and with a teamSafety mindedExcellent interpersonal skills and attention to detailThorough understanding of inventory policies and proceduresTime management skillsPhysical RequirementsFrequently required to stand and walk.Required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required include vision, distant vision, color vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.EEO StatementGainey's is an equal opportunity employer.
