Performs writing, editing, review, and pre-press publishing tasks required for the preparation of technical reports, research proposals, program documentation, and management support documents.
Coordinates with authors and other subject-matter experts to propose and write substantive revisions to improve the clarity, sequence, or scope of presentation.
Supports the Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS) project delivery team (PDT) work conducted by the St. Louis District Corps of Engineers, as well as FUDS projects in other USACE Districts.
Ensures that information and data presented directly support both the objectives of the document and the author's conclusions.
Writes, rewrites, and/or extensively edits technical information furnished by project delivery team members in the form of rough drafts, research notes, literature surveys, transcripts, etc.
Provides advice and guidance as required to all technical, administrative, and management personnel on all matters related to writing, document preparation, publishing, and technology transfer.
Makes decisions pertaining to design, typography, organizational formats, mechanical style, and literary style where no clear precedent exists.
Liaises with important contacts such as Office of Counsel and Real Estate personnel, technical subject matter experts, management, representatives of the Environmental and Munitions Center of Expertise (EMCX), headquarters, and external partners.
