Our award-winning Construction Group is constantly expanding the scope of its capabilities. It currently specializes in transportation, petrochemical, power, commercial, residential, and ports and rail projects.
The Group Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the group that they oversee which includes safety, quality, human resources, and financial results. The Group Manager sits in our Hammond, LA office and will oversee our operations in Baton Rouge and Northshore Asphalt Operations.
Essential Duties:
Required Education: High School Diploma
Required Experience: Five (5) years experience as an Estimator, Project Manager, or equivalent experience with demonstrated ability to lead others.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering, or a similar field
Preferred Experience: Seven (7) years of experience as an Estimator, Project Manager or equivalent experience with demonstrated ability to lead others.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Three (3) years of demonstrated Management of People and Financial Accountability
Physical and Mental Demands: Ability to work in excess of 40 hours a week, which may include nights and weekends. Ability to view a computer screen for long periods of time. Ability to function in a high-pressure, stressful environment and meet stringent deadlines. Ability to operate a computer and standard office equipment. Ability to travel as required and work at different locations as required. Ability to read, write and speak English at a level equal to or greater than the national standards
