Marrero, Couvillon & Associates is currently seeking a Lead/Senior Construction Cost Estimator with experience estimating and bidding Commercial, Municipal, and Industrial projects. This position may lead to an Estimating Management Position. Projects will include commercial, governmental, and industrial designs as well as supporting the Construction Division with various federal construction projects. This candidate must be able to work independently and be fully competent in performing all conventional aspects of Construction Estimating for municipal and commercial applications independently with little supervision. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Prepare bid quality construction estimates for all construction disciplines. Prepare estimates with limited information by leveraging experience and access to reference information to fill technical gaps any technical issues that need to be addressed. Review and direct others on estimates in various business lines . Lead major estimate efforts, working with proposal teams to produce bid quality construction estimates Interacting with multiple disciplines, clients or other stake holders in obtaining needed information and/or in soliciting subcontractor and vendor quotes, as well as, performing constructability reviews, and providing risk assessments . Work on estimating tool development including development of estimating tools, databases, assemblies, and models Basic Qualifications: 10-15 years in estimating experience Knowledge of local, state, and federal public sector construction environment Experience with detailed, quantity, unit, man-hour, and crew-based construction estimates for multiple construction crafts. Experience with vertical and horizontal construction Experience with conceptual, order of magnitude, and parametric estimating. Experience with Contracts, Subcontracts, Scheduling, Change Orders Good communication and presentation skills Ability to participate and contribute as part of senior leadership proposal reviews Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing conflicting priorities Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders Ability to meet tight deadlines Flexibility to lead and complete complex estimates while relying on subject matter experts and collecting information from various project stakeholders Experience with Construction Cost Estimating Software Certification in construction estimating a plus, i.e. PCSE, CPE, CCE/A, CCP, or CCECC Employment Type: Full Time Bonus/Commission: No
