Role Description The Stone Creek Membership department is a cornerstone of the club. The membership representative is often the first impression of the Stone Creek experience for a member or potential member. A membership representative plays a vital role in creating and maintaining an inviting, comfortable & exciting atmosphere for all Stone Creek members, potential members and guests. Equally important is explaining all of the club's features, amenities, programs, services and policies to current and potential members, and integrating new members into the club. A membership representative must ensure prompt, professional, courteous service is delivered to all members & guests. The Representative is also responsible for developing leads, daily tracking of activities, participating in offsite networking and events, and assisting management in meeting membership and financial objectives. This person maintains Stone Creek's highest standards of customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years successful sales and customer service experience required.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work independently and use best judgment and discretion.
• Must possess strong communication skills, basic computer skills, phone etiquette, customer service orientation, and be committed to the fitness industry/environment.
• Must be detail oriented, efficient in multitasking, organized and highly responsive with a commitment to customer servicessionalism, reliability, and integrity, with a member-focused mindset.
• Ability to work on-site, including evenings or weekends as needed for member activities and events.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with membership or CRM systems; prior experience in fitness, hospitality, or club environments is a plus.
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to count/handle money.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Specific Responsibilities

• Prospecting, lead generation, and building referral business.
• Sale of new memberships.
• Respond to telephone, text, and e-mail membership inquiries, booking and maintaining appointments for prospective members to tour the club.
• Track and report daily membership sales and activities.
• Mastery of all member opportunities within the club; connecting new members to areas of interest to set them up for success and long-term membership.
• Working cohesively with a team of Membership Reps and a Membership Director to be successful individually and as a team.
• Establishing a strong sales pipeline, meeting sales objectives and collaborating with a team to achieve the overall goals of the business.
• Work with the Membership Director to develop new corporate accounts and provide ongoing maintenance for existing corporate accounts.
• Establish relationships with and travel to local businesses to network and distribute promotional membership materials.
• Managing select events geared towards engaging the membership base and/or generating interest in and excitement around the club.
• Serving as a visible and active goodwill ambassador with members and at select special events.
• Delivering superior customer service with an aim towards member retention.

Other Functions

• Be knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered throughout the club.
• Effectively handle member concerns and complaints.
• Promote club services and activities.
• Assist with keeping the club well stocked and clean.
• Work as a team with all other departments.
• Administer emergency care to members and guests in need of assistance.

Physical and Working Conditions

• Ability to stand for several hours in the same shift.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs. and assist in event setup.
